Howard Gensler | Michael Jackson reinvented as rapper?

spacer.gif

THE reinvention of Michael Jackson continues.

It seems the King of Pop is looking to become the King of Rap.

Yes, according to Rush & Molloy in the New York Daily News, MJ is looking to become edgier.

More hip hop.

Less hopscotch.

"Soon you will see him surrounded by all kinds of beautiful women," says Jackson insider and "Alien Rock" author Michael Luckman.

And Jackson's reportedly close to landing folks like Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Mary J. Blige to perform on his hurricane relief song, "From the Bottom of My Heart."

Meanwhile, costumer Andre Van Pier, who created outfits for several Jackson videos, clearly hasn't gotten the "Michael Jackson: Man of the Streets" memo. He tells Rush & Molloy he sees the new Michael as a "Space Warrior," dressed in an illuminated white leather jumpsuit with a Roman legion helmet.

LOL

It's a sad day when you even make P. Diddy look legit as a rapper.

Poor little Saudi Michaelâ„¢. Some assembly required.

Francis Ford Coppola and Geoge Lucas directed Captain EO back in 82, a Disney attraction starring MJ. Has to be seen to be belived.

Captain EO was Michael Jackson's gift to Disney's Future World. An incredible area of Disneyland that opened up back in 1982. Captain EO was a realistic 3D movie that ran about 18 mins. The plot focus on Michael J as Captain EO. A space adventurer out to deliver a special present to an evil queen (played by Anjelica Houston) who lives in a dark gloomy area of space. The queen doesn't want any part of Captain EO's gift and orders her horde to attack the Capt'n and his crew of costume cladded heroes. Of course Michael starts the music going by turning his crew into musical instruments and a live band. Once the dancing begins and the flashy special effects fly, you can't help but love the whole experience. The 3D effect was without a doubt, the best I've seen back in 1982. I hope they release a HDTV video of this short Sci-Fi thriller. I don't think Captain EO is at Disneyland any longer, but the 17yrs it was there, it was worth seeing at least twice. I saw it about 8 times and always enjoyed it even though the music was just a tad TOO LOUD. LOL. If you didn't get to see Captain EO, then you missed out on a wonderful experience. Maybe M.J. will do another movie for the Millennium.

Captain EO was great.

--So yesterday, on WWE Byte This, shock of all shocks, they said Ultimate Warrior was going to be there. Instead, they had Matt Striker show up and do a Warrior impersonation, wearing a wig, actually reading the Warrior letter from his site. He then did a comedy Q&A and when the asked him how he got so big, he said, "Steroids, lots of steroids!" When asked about parts unknown, where he was billed from, they joked he lived in a trailer in New York. People who built a glass house, have no business throwing rocks, although it isn't like this would be the first time for that, either, as we recall the Huxster TV skits. Believe me, it is impossible to have any sympathy for a moron like Warrior, and I don't, but stuff like this makes Vince McMahon come across like a guy who had this girlfriend ten years ago who is a psycho bitch that he finally wised up and dumped, and then he keeps wanting her back, and every few years takes her back, the same thing happens, and still gets jealous if he hears she's dating someone else, and buries her to all his friends. For the future of the business, the obvious difference between Vince and HHH is that at least HHH didn't take her back. Well, I also grant that being a wrestling promoter at times requires you to book people who are out of their minds because they can draw money and it isn't like everyone you work with is someone you'd want to sleep with. But when it comes to wrestling dealings, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me four times and I don't want to hear you cry about it. I'm not judging the DVD itself, because I haven't seen it.
