Longest delay in buying shelves and actually putting them up?

Is this real life?
I bought two shelves from IKEA a couple of years ago to put all my DVDs on. Put the first one up and within a few days it was leaning down despite using the screws and plug thingies it came with. Haven't put the other one up because of that. So for me, maybe 2 years?
