'Yes' to a temporary forum. Whoop!

But typical of Rov, he strokes the folks and will get all the praise but
leaves all real work for his EI crew. How pathetic and simply funny at the same time.
 
And I like how they torpedoed a TK forum based on the argument "were a seperate board, we don't mix" or some such. Yet, they fall all over themselves for these people.

Of course our gals didn't officially ask Rov for a forum either, we have to remember that fact. Of course I'm glad they didn't or they would be kissing Rov's ass forever.

However those 'be excellent to each other' folks didn't didn't waste a single beat when it came to stomping on the mere idea of hosting Temporary TK forum.

This KHC Forum, heck Keith himself should just buy a friggin' new server for the board and the problem would be solved. Its not like he's short on cash and there is a shortage of servers...lol

I don't see why they (KHC fans) couldn't just keep posting in the Beach starting new threads on their own topics. Its not like the Beach is booming these days, those threads would be very easy to find.

I just don't want to get any shit now when I request a TK forum when I get back. There is precident now. They've broken their own rules regarding "keeping other boards matters off our board" just by creating it in the first place.

How can they not expect us to make swiss cheese out of their policy when they do it themselves?

That is an excellent point you bring to the table Neon. Plus the fact how do those board members know where to go to post on the temporary board?

Why didn't they just set up a temporary EZBoard for free? It doesn't take much for anyone to do that so they really didn't need EI to continue posting.

It the principle of the purpose, that gets my goat. All those high and mighty most excellent players over at EI threw fits about TK wanting a tiny little temporary forum. And so far not one word about this forum. Well not until I start a thread in the XYZ about it. LOL.....Tomorrow when I have more time...
 
No, it doesn't seem fair. But it was always up to Rov to say yes or no to the idea of a temporary forum...you know, his board and all that.

Maybe this Keith guy doesn't have the money for a new server or board. He hasn't been employed lately has he? The Keith forum (sorry, but I was never a fan of his so I don't know what his full name is, nor do I care to be relieved of my ignorance) is harmless. There is no controversy attached to allowing a forum dedicated to fan worship. Just women who want to swoon over some guy and squee with excitement. I don't doubt that this temporary forum may become permanent since the Keith guy was a cast member of Andromeda. Isn't that why EI was formed? Don't they have the Becka forum and the Harper forum? Doesn't this make the Keith forum a natural shoo-in should the original forum not make a come back?

However, hosting a TK forum for trolls, well that's another kettle of fish and much more controversial and dangerous. Such activities as may go on in such a temporary forum might actually stir up the natives and is not considered harmless. Also, the long-standing acrimony between the two forums is not going to be set aside anytime in the future. Until all the oldtimers from Beyond the Before Time when Slip Stream held sway fade from attrition, there will be no squeeing trolls allowed fromTK.

Yes, it is unexpected that this whispered wish was granted with such alacrity, but not entirely. The creation of this temporary forum serves a dual purpose: to grant a harmless wish to the women folk of EI, and to deliver a back handed slap to TK without it looking like one to the casual observer.

To those who blindly dislike TK and those who dwell within her internet borders, well I can hear the tom-toms in the distant hills maintaining the beat for the celebratory chanting around the camp fires -- can't you?
 
First off this is NOT a permanant forum. It is a temp forum- as we have given TK before. Yes the very last time you all asked for one we declined, given how soon your problems were supposed to be fixed.

However KHCMB is a board that many of our posters are members of as well, and they asked. It was debated among the staff, and a TEMPORARY forum was created. And it was not done in the blink of an eye, or as a kick in the teeth of EI.

But I guess it is more fun for you all to whine about how unfair EI is and forget that in the past EI has set up Temporary Forums for TK.

So you can take your pity party, and your conspiracy theories, and head off to Jupiter.

Harper and Beka have factions that are located in "The Boardwalk" and called "The Harperchondriacs Ward" and "The Bekaneers Cove."

Although, bringing that up, why couldn't they just create their own faction rather than get a whole forum set up for it? And if they can do it, shouldn't those of us in the Ward or the Cove get our own forum too?

Just a thought.

I'm already up for my very first warning over there so I should probably stop stirring up "trouble." ;)

When was TK given emergency forum status over there? I don't recall this.
