It was ok.

I might actually post some thoughtful..err, thoughts on it at some point.

But that moment is not now.

I thought it an interesting turn of events with some very promising storyline to come. Interesting that Jack is where he is and Sawyer and Freckles are where they are. Interesting foreshadowing. I got the feeling that this one was just to set up what is about to come and what is about to come is going to be very, very good.

Just seen it, I liked the grimness that implied Jack was responisble for his father falling off teh wagon, which ultimatly led to his death, based purly on Jacks own insicurities thinking his father was shagging his wife.

The plane break up looked really cool, although having that little town in the middle of the island seemed very strange.

Its also clear the others have ways of communiting with the outside world, and getting very thourough information

Because I'm bored at work, I did a little hunting.

If I remember correctly, the cover of the King book is blue, and these are the only three I could come up with:

From a Buick 8
The Regulators
Dreamcatcher

Isn't Dreamcatcher the one with the shit weasels? It's been a long time since I read that, but I think there was some creature that caused the people to have an exploding ass or something.

How could Danielle have not found the others in SIXTEEN YEARS if they live in a village in the middle of the island?

Well the establishing shot at the end of the teaser makes the island look a lot bigger than I thought it was, I suppose you might not find the town if you didn't know it was there.

I've only watched the teaser so far(I'll watch the rest after the Simpsons), but it looks pretty good so far. I kinda wish I hadn't read the spoilers already, although if I hadn't I would've thought I'd downloaded the wrong show for the first three minutes.

The shots of the plane breaking up don't look very real though, the cgi bits are too crisp compared to the background, even on my 100mb copy.

I thought it looked pretty good, although the plane seemed too low down already, that low down loose people shouldnt have got sucked out when the tail broke off.

So Desmond might have pulled the plane appart with his magnetic pulse, but something else must have set it off course and made it fly that low.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that pilot saying "we were a thousand miles off course"...right before the monster ate him.
