Like an ugly version of Wolverine. Seem likable, actually, less of a wannabe than the others. Well, that's judging by the VT anyway...
SEE, I WAS RIGHt.
Ah, Marcus. At first I didn't know quite what to make of him. He was funny at times (I remember him reading the fake romance rule on the first night and suggesting to Sree that they have a fake romance and Sree just looking confused) but could also seem like a bit of a prick (to Sree, but really Sree must have been very annoying to live with.)
His first big moment was the argument with Lisa, where I thought he was great. Everything he said about her was bang-on and it was great seeing someone shut her up after how she'd been talking to Freddie and Angel. After that he was mostly seen around Noirin and I did like them together at first. Eevntually I did think he got a bit creepy and controlling. Not sure you can blame that on her either, he is a 35 year old man. But generally, I think he was trying to help her. Even if you look at how he reacted to her and Siavash you can KIND OF see how it might have been because he was upset at Siavash cheating on his girl and he knew Noirin would end up hurting him as she changes her mind every five minutes. Though I think some of it was definitely just down to jealousy.
Anyway, Noirin being evicted let the Irrepressible Dark Hourse flourish. The highlights often ended on him in the Diary Room and he was very amusing. In fact he got better everytime. What I liked the most was that he was obviously just treating BB like a game and having a laugh. Some people took everything he said seriously and didn't realise when he was taking the piss. Clue: he was taking the piss most of the time.
There's too many great Marcus moments to mention, really. I loved the random statements he'd come out with like "I drink from puddles" and "I wonder if Leona Lewis would have sex with me?" And when he'd tell Bea what a mingebag he was. Or going off for a wank while everyone else was arguing over some shit. Or claiming he could kill Sree with his eyebrow. Or, when given a task where him, Siavash and Noirin had to pull a truck, claiming "I could pull it myself with my bellend."
Nearly forgot his big "PC gone mad!" rant to BB after Sree tried to play the race card. That was great.
His eviction was a tragedy. Maybe he wouldn't even have won, but he'd have given Sophie more competition than Siavash did. But I suppose the very nature of the Irrepressible Dark Horse means that he can fall at the last hurdle.
Best housemate since Victor. Should have won.
