Marvel What If...?

You mean like Tony Stark two episodes ago?

2.6 - It was good, yeah, the Sky World looked cool. I guess it shows what a lack of imagination the Nazis have that they only used the Tesseract to build laser guns.

Tony already exists though, Shan Chi is the only new male hero in a universe where every major male character has been replaced by a female equivalent, who can do the same job as the original male, but faster and easier.

And there's about to be a what if where he's replaced by Hela.

Wouldn't be much of a "what if" if they didn't change the character.

Which character did Kahhori "replace"?

2.7 - Familiar tale now where the animation and fights are really good but the story feels rushed. Hela went from evil to good within a couple of minutes. Still, it was good and Cate Blanchett saying "arse" a lot is always going to be fun.

2.8 - Once again it was fun but loads of characters get introduced then it's over. Nice action as usual, could have been longer, etc.

2.9 - While the rest of the episodes have had too much story for too short a runtime, this one had the opposite problem. Just making Strange evil wasn't really that interesting. It looked cool again and there were fun fights but it was one of the weakest episodes.

I guess season 3 starts tomorrow with one new episode "dropping" a day and I guess I'll watch it and complain about it not living up to its potential, I guess.

First one had a lot of stars, mostly wasted, I don't think they are very good at drawing Simu Lu.

Story was a bit meh, just an excuse to have giant robots fighting hulkzilla.

3.1 - Anthony Mackie did a good job with his voice acting, actually making an effort unlike some of the others who just read their lines. I liked when the Godzilla Hulk shot gamma from his mouth. Otherwise pretty flat and empty, just felt like every other episode. I liked the cold open and actually thought for a moment that the whole episode might have been in that animation style. But that would have meant doing something different.

Kinga was the girl on Big Brother who wanked herself off with a wine bottle. The character is named Kingo.

3.2 - As an Agent Carter fan I should have been more excited to hear Dominic Cooper and James D'arcy, but they were just written like the type zany comedy character that fills this kind of episode. At least they got paid. So Agatha is actually good all along and just needs to star in a movie to stop murdering people? Too bad Wanda never thought of that.

3.3 - I liked it more than the first two as well. They totally dialed Alexi's zaniness up to 11 like they do for all characters in this show, but fortunately David Harbour was absolutely up for the task, giving one of the best voice performances ever on this show and actually making me laugh several times (the speech to the McDonald's worker was great.) Sebastian Stan was pretty good too. They actually fixed the plothole regarding who really killed Tony's parents (turns out it was Stane AND Hydra!) Nice to see Bill Foster get something to do unlike the movie he was in. Was his wacky cop sidekick supposed to be someone I recognised?

So Tony's parents live and he is never kidnapped by the ten rings and still ends up being iron man?

Episode 4 was fun, a light hearted Christmas episode about a special child being hunted down.

3.4 - I admire the audacity of the Christmas day episode being about a special child with God-like powers, born of a human woman...and an alien duck. They were clearly trying to make it as silly as possibly and they certainly succeeded with the endless cameos. I liked that they got Josh Brolin just for one joke. I bet Samuel L. Jackson only agreed to do it if he got to say that ridiculous "FURY OUT!" line. The episode kind of implies that Loki would have grown up to be nice if he'd stayd with the Frost Giants.

3.5 - Wow, they actually did a serious episode and maintained the tone throughout rather than ruin it with a stupid joke. It is possible! I liked the setting, though they didn't really explore what life on Earth would be like at all. I think Ironheart was supposed to be released before this as we barely know Riri, but this was actually a better introduction to her than her forgettable part in Wakanda Forever.

I'm assuming the Asian woman was the sister from Shan chi? It felt like they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for characters in this one.
