I just watched this film again, the 80s live action version of he-man, its just so cheap and cheesy that its fantastic, I loved every moment of it, I think this is only the second time I have seen it, but its such a feel good film.

Plus theres Monica from Friends and her mother in it too, and Tom Paris, so young he has acne.

Its not terribly faithful to the cartoons, but fuck it, its got alien guys on hover boards flying down LA streets shooting out windows, and Antony Langiala as Skeletor, plus Dolph I cant act but look at my pecs Lungdrom as He-Man.

Whats not to like?

Not Battlecat. :(

That would have been hard to pull off

I remember seeing it a long time ago. Hercules in New York was on last night. Got to be one of the best worst movies ever...

I seem to remember loving it when I was younger.

Can't really remember why.

(because it was awesome, that's why)

Hercules or He-Man? In Hercules Arnie looks like a kid in a school play who's sheepishly reciting lines in a monotone voice. Okay, no change there, but the production is awful as well. In some scenes you can't hear the actors properly and the different takes are edited together amazingly poorly. It's a riot. :)

He-Man.

I've never seen Hercules in New York. I WOULD THOUGH.

From the goofs section on IMDb

Revealing mistakes: The bear is obviously a man in a suit, and in one shot you can see shoes on the bear.

Maybe it was just a civilised bear.

Seen herculeas in new york, wasnt it an italian film with all the voices dubbed?

Especially Arnies.

I believe there was a version where they dubbed Arine's voice because his Austian accent was very strong at the point.

I'm pretty certain that was every version.

Maybe it was just a civilised bear.

Yeah, I mean Yogi wore a collar, tie & hat, and there's no criticism about that on IMDb.

It's been released on DVD undubbed.

I never knew that! Class.

That would be like releasing Star Wars with David Prowse's voice work (ACTUALLY, GREAT IDEA, LUCAS.)

No Luke, I are your father

I loved this movie when I was a kid, and as an adult can now appreciate the cheesy factor of it. I always thought the guy with the eyepatch (Blade??) was sexy.

I really don't believe Prowse claiming he didn't know it was being re-dubbed.
