Movies Masters of the Universe

Ugh, I wanted this to be good, but it's not. It's just plot convenience after plot convenience after plot convenience leading to Adam confronting Skeletor. Plus MCU style joke after joke after joke. It's over the top cartoonish and I know it's based off a cartoon, but my god, the cartoon was more serious than this. It ends with Orco breaking the fourth wall to tell us the moral of the story. Leto's performance is cringe worthy. Cringer is ...uh...cringe worthy. I wouldn't even recommend watching it for free when it comes on Amazon Prime. I will give them points for getting the look right. I'd probably watch the 80s movie over this and it wasn't that good either, but at least it has Frank Langello and Dolph Lundgren. This just goes to prove that even if there are critics you trust say they like something, you've got to see it yourself to make up your own mind.

It's Jared Leto... 'nuff said...

There’s a really good movie on Netflix where Leto plays the antagonist that he’s really good in. I think Leto can be a good actor, but he just keeps taking bad roles with bad takes on the characters.

The Little Things is the movie

MOTU's heyday was right around the time Transformers kicked off in the 80's; from what I understand there have been multiple attempts at revivals over the years but no big successes. A live action movie now really feels like Hollywood scraping the bottom of the barrel now that every legacy brand is facing a demographic crisis.
