It would have been nearly 15 years ago I first went in. So I decided to pop in when I was in town on Thursday - no different at all!
 
too bad - sounds like you guys just missed each other by a day.
before it burned to the ground (another story) I knew a local pub like that - never changed- the same place three generations in the area had their first legal beer.
