I liked Mega Man, but some of the bosses towards the end were annoyingly difficult. Still, I miss the old side-scrolling action games. There was something so...innocent about them. Now, if you're not blowing away Nazis or evil mutant zombie Democrats, your game isn't "edgy" or "cool".
