I punch Bowser into a sun. Somehow he was fine. Then a new galaxy was born...I think? Now there's a purple comet.

The entire universe was destroyed and recreated at the end of a Mario game.

"Welcome new galaxy."

Do all future Mario games take place in a new continuity in this new universe, like DC's New 52 only good?
