what happened with the Arsenal game? They only aired the Man U /Porto up here yesterday. I know the final score, but how was the MATCH in your opinion? I prefer to hear from a fan who actually watched the game.

It was a really tense game. There was nothing to separate Villarreal and Arsenal, both teams played really well. The pace of the match was unbelievable at times, It was literally end to end the entire 90 minutes.

Villarreal started stronger than Arsenal and at around the ten minute mark Senna rifled a brilliant shot from 30 yards out that just rocketed in to the net. Brilliant goal and completely unsavable.

Almunia picked up an injury from a rough challenge soon after and had to be taken off for Fabianski and then 5 minutes later Gallas was badly injured as well rupturing his medial ligaments in his knee. No word yet but it's likely he's out for the season now. Djourou replaced him.

Villarreal continued to press and looked like scoring again. The game started to slip away from us but we managed to get to half time without conceding again.

Second half Arsenal came out of the blocks big time and it was our turn to put pressure on Villareal. We kept possession much better and at around the hour mark Adebayor scored one of the best goals of the season. No joke. Bicycle kick after some amazing control on his chest from a Fabregas pinpoint pass.

Villarreal didn't lie down and die though and possession flitted between the teams with both playing a smart high accuracy passing game.

It really could of gone either way and the 1-1 draw is a fair result. It would have been unfair for either team to lose after two great performances.

Anyone who underestimates Villarreal is stupid. They're a very good team.

Here are the highlights including the goals. After the Senna wonder strike you don't expect to see it topped but Adebayor did just that. Phenomenal goal.

As it stands the 1-1 score away from home is good for us. It puts us firmly in control for the second leg at the Emirates holding the advantage but we have to play out of our skin to make sure Villarreal doesn't come and upset us now.

excellent! Really sorry to have missed that.

thank you for the link too, I'll have a look. Well, the Liverpool/Chelsea game won't be aired up here today because we don't want to miss the riveting sports of curling and womens' hockey!
