Christmas Eve went well, everyone was cordial and we didn't discuss the elephant in the room (mostly because we were secretly emailing about it for hours beforehand and playing dumb at the party). My sisters are choosing to pick a later time to intervene in the drama. Tonight my brother-in-law had his family over. Since I still have a cold/cough, I was able to pop in and out as I pleased.

My niece (the one fighting with her mom/my sister) has invited everyone over to her house on Sunday so we can exchange gifts, since they bailed on Christmas Eve. We'll see how that goes.
