Great Neil Gaiman movie. Filmed down the road from my old house. IN BRIGHTON BITCHES.
I was telling Wacky earlier. This was filmed in 2004 so it is more than likley that I was actually sitting in my place which is right on the beach spamming the Minefield as this scene was shot.
Yes, I noticed that she's hot.
Neil Gaiman was the mastermind genius behind Sandman. A deity among storytellers, able to weave intricate plots and ideas out of seeminly the dreamworld itself. And he doesn't dissapoint in the surreal Mirrormask. The world is something just like Morpheus woud create. Wolfy reminded me about it on MSN last night so I went and found and downloaded it. Glad I did, it's brilliant.
It's visually stunning not for it's photrealism but for it's surrealism which is like a computer generated window into the mind of Neil Gaiman.
Anyone who has read Gaimans works before knows how ingenius the guy is allready.
Dave Mckean directs here, he's a long time writing partner of Gaiman and famous for his incredible visuals. His directing here is top-notch. There is not much going against Mirrormask. I guess that it is lacking in mass-appeal and is slightly whimsical in places, but it's just great and has to be seen.
So have some screenshots instead and then go procure and watch.
