MJ book: Final Years Unmasked by Ian Halperin

I have read over half of this new book so far. So this author claims that MJ was NOT a pedophile, but...liked young MEN?

The author claims to have proof of this, interviews, film footage, pictures...so, in 1 interview with an ex lover of MJ's, the guy says that MJ (prior to giving a bj) would say "the King of Pop is going to suck your lollipop".

hmmm...

Also, claims of Mj dressing up like a woman and meeting guys in sleazy hotels have been reported by this author.

Was MJ gay??

This author says MJ liked guys who were young, but NOT too young...NEVER underaged boys. The author says MJ met a construction worker guy & carried on a love affair with him.

I'm curious to see what the proof exactly is to these claims.

The author claims he will provide videos on youtube in the future to substantiate ALL of his claims in the book.

Until then...all seems like rumors to me.

I don't care if MJ was gay/straight/bi/A-sexual...whatever!

i just like his music. :)

But still, everything about MJ's life is fascinating to hear about.

Ian Halperin is a complete and utter bellend. This guy has been claiming shit about MJ for a long while now.

Only a couple of months ago he was claiming that MJ needed a lung transplant which was a load of absolute shit. OK, so he's dead now but he seemed to be dancing on stage fine a few days before.

He's been trying to whip up sensationalist claims for months now to sell his book (which he has now renamed given MJ's passing).

I wouldn't put too much stock in what he has to say.

That said there ARE some good books about Michael. One of the most overlooked is his own biography from the 80's. He talks candidly about his plastic surgery and the pressures of fame and has tons of fascinating stories to tell as well as you would imagine. It's short and snappy and should definitly be read since it's his own words and for some reason it appears that none of the media ever bothered to read it.

Moonwalk was the first book written by Michael Jackson.
It's his autobiography, which he was encoraged to write by book editor Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (wife of U.S president Joh F Kennedy).
Its Michael in his own words up until 1988, which was around the same time as the Bad album.
Michael talks of his early days with his brothers in the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. He also talks about his many famous friends at the time including Paul McCartney, Berry Gordy, Fred Astaire, Marlon Brando and Katherine Hepburn.
He also covers what plasitic surgery he had had up to that time as well as commenting on the way he is portrayed in the media and the many untrue stories they print.
There's also segments of colour and black and white photos in the book.
At the start of the books there's also a self portrait by Michael, with his glove and Fedora, which is signed MJ 1998 (not 1988).
It also features a print copy of his signature.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wrote the following forward to the book:
"What can one say about Michael Jackson? He is one of the world's most acclaimed entertainers, an innovative and exciting songwriter whose dancing seems to defy gravity and has been heralded by teh likes of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. His public is perhaps unaware of the extent of his dedication to his craft. Restless, seldom satisfied, he is a perfectionist who is constantly challenging himself. To many people Michael Jackson seems an elusive personality, but to those who work with him, he is not. This talented artist is a sensitive man, warm, funny, and full of insight. Michael's book Moonwalk, provides a startling glimpse of the artist at work and the artist in reflection.

And if you're looking for something a lot more recent that delves in to the scandals and everything inbetween then this is the best book for that by a country mile:
