Mooninite Terrorists

Boston has a long history of terrible governmental mistakes. This is the same city that commissioned an overhaul of its choked streets that finished decades late, billions of dollars over budget, and which collapsed on an unlucky driver months after it was "finished," all while doing almost nothing to alleviate the traffic stress.

Maybe so, but somebody made a fucking killing on that deal all the same. :)

Somebody = Thousands of contractors who cut corners, skimmed off the top, got kickbacks, etc.

I hope the family of the woman who was pancaked sues their asses clean off.

I dunno...some diaspora from Southie?

Come to think of it, WR was all shamrock-riddled back when I dated a chick from there; something like 15 years ago. Who knows what it's like now.

OTOH, I'm pretty sure Roxbury proper is still Boston's Harlem.

I lived at Blue Hill av in WR when I was born, and then we moved to brighton right after, '54 to '68

Blue Hill Ave is still Ghetto Central, but West Roxbury gets pretty Irish around the Lagrange Street area.

It's been that way as long as I can remember, too.

Yup.

I drive past it a lot, but I've never been. I've been to the one on American Legion a couple of times, though - I used to live in Forest Hills, right near it.

We used to go there like EVERY Sunday every summer when I was growing up. Sometimes we'd go to Revere Beach afterwards which was orgasmic.

Seriously.

Dude, you should come back around and see how your old neighborhood's changed, maybe drop by the Ra for some ancient Egyptian wisdom and a colonic.
