MOST HATED MOVIE EVER

beerfest. There's another one.
That was a waste of my precious moments.
If that's supposed to be what passes for comedy these days, then we are at a sorry pass indeed.

Nobody thought Roger Moore was hysterical in Spice World? It is not a movie to be watched with a grain of seriousness. I still remember going to see it in theaters because Mark McKinney was in it. I waited in line with my friend surrounded by 10-year-old girls and their moms, and I was not looking forward to the crap-fest I was confidant it was going to be. We got seats in the center of the theater, surrounded by little girls and their moms, and in the front right corner were a large group of Roger Moore fans. The theater was dead silent for the entire movie, except for the Roger Moore fans, who cheered whenever the Spice Girls made references to their own 15 minutes of fame almost being up, and who clapped and hooted whenever Mr. Bond made an appearance. That was the only noise in the theater. Well, that and my friend and I. We laughed loudly through the whole movie. I laughed so hard my face hurt too much and I had to stop smiling half-way through it. I think we were the only two in the entire theater who enjoyed it. I am proud to display it in my collection now; I should really get that recent dvd release.
 
^This proves comedy really IS subjective! Who knows why someone thinks something's funny and another doesn't? I love Loktar and he liked Beerfest! :)
 
I liked Beerfest. I even own a half-sized version (1 Liter) of das boot.

Spice World is really only funny to me when I'm extremely high/drunk. I need to kill a great many brain cells before I think it's fun to watch.
 
I caught a few minutes of Batman Forever on tv today...I know Batman and Robin rightly gets mauled, but man, this shit deserves some abuse too. LOL JIM CARREY ISN'T OBNOXIOUS AT ALL IN IT.

I found it more entertaining. THC's angst was preferable to Toby Maguire's angst. There were no good-guy scientists who insist on using themselves as test subjects only to have said tests go horribly wrong. What's-his-face from That 70's Show was the highlight of the movie for me. The overabundance of villains.

He should drop Mary Jane, though. I know I'd never trust a girl who ran out on some other nice guy *at the altar.* In the wedding dress that I'm sure his family paid for. I bet Mr. Newspaper owner doesn't fully realize which little hussy Peter Parker is dating. Or he'd take it out of the commissions.

All THC parts of the movie were easily the best. Topher Grace was utterly miscast, and his Venom was hopelessly undercooked. It bore little to no relation to what made Venom a threat in the Book - and that's that Brock was unhinged himself. The corruption of the symbiote only enhanced that.

They gave it a go, but in terms of screen time, he was pushed so far into the periphery, because they were just trying to do too much: Harry & Pete, Pete & MJ, Harry, Pete & MJ, Sandman & Spidey, Sandman & Family, Pete & Symbiote, etc.

Is it any wonder, by the time it came to the final fight, most people couldn't give a shit about Venom, because the script hadn't given a shit about him either?

The whole thing about it really being Sandman who killed Uncle Ben seemed a bit gay and unnecessary too.

Thomas Haden Church was about the only decent thing in the movie.

I saw a bit of it too and couldn't believe how bad it was. Just goes to highlight even more how great the current Batman movies are.

The worst part was Harry's butler.

"Oh by the way, sir, Spiderman didn't kill your father. Yes, I've known this all along. I realise that I probably should’ve told you before you became obsessed with finding who Spiderman was, or before you gave valuable metals to a mad scientist which he would've used to destroy the city, or before you permanently altered your body using your father's strength serum, or before you became permanently scarred in a fight with your best friend. I guess I forgot.

And the actor playing the butler was so shite too.
 
It was Paul Burrell, almost unrecognisable in a suit (his evening dress was at the cleaners).
 
I forgot Harry died at the end.
 
My initial reaction to Spidey3: OMG FUCKING ROX!

My reaction several months and viewings later: WTF? HAX!
 
I felt upset I had spent money on it. I will probably only watch it again if berated by the Mrs. into doing so.
 
I liked it mostly for the Sandman effects, but the story was rubbish.
 
I think I realized what shit it was when Harry and Mary Jane are cooking omelets and start doing the twist.

I was embarressed looking at my collection of the Evil Dead trilogy. Oh, Sam...how far you have fallen.
 
The worst part of the omlette scene was in RIGHT BEFORE THAT SCENE Harry asked his Butler to prepare some food for him and MJ, and then in the next scene they're cooking their own food. Worst butler ever.
