When one speaks of time "flying", one is usually referring to the perceived notion that time has somehow "sped up" or is moving "faster" than normal. In reality, it's one own perception of time that's skewed. The human mind generally understands the abstract notion of time by associating it with some tangible device used to measure time. A clock, perhaps, or a calendar. So, Bazooka Joe, when the boy believed that time was "flying", in reality his mind was processing events in a non-linear fashion. It's fascinating, really."
