I've been getting this a lot lately too. Maybe my pillows are too firm.

I am a tummy sleeper, so I'm wondering if I'm mashing my left side of my face too hard into the pillow too.
 
I think it's because Batman's gone insane and he now travels the world punching people in the jaw in their sleep.

Stress. Sometimes my jaw hurts too. I realize I am holding my breath, grinding my teeth or just being generally tense.
