My top 5 rock/heavy metal guitarists

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
New list:

1. Stevie Ray Vaughan. The fucking guy kills me every time with this renditions of Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile (slight return)". If you don't want to watch the whole thing, get to the part around 2:48 where he's playing one-handed.

2. Jimi Hendrix. Wasn't a big fan of his until I started fooling around with the guitar. The stuff he does is just...well, like everyone else on the list, he's just got a gift from God.

3. Kirk Hammett, Metallica. I've gotten back into their music with the latest GH game. The guy just fucking shreds, period.

4. Eddie Van Halen, Van Halen. A virtuoso, changed the way electric guitar is played. This version is better than The Kink's original, and that's saying something!

5. Slowhand, Mr. Eric Clapton his bad self. The standard by which all other 60's-70's guitarists shall be measured.

I see this has sparked an intense debate, just as I'd hoped!

Stevie Ray is Booker T's brother.

Wait, what? Of Booker T and the MG's? I thought he was black??

In WCW. The wrestler Booker T's brother was called Stevie Ray. I guess they both took their names from musicians (though wasn't Booker T a black activist or something too?)

Booker T. Washington was a black activist, yes. Booker T. Jones is the musician. Booker T and The MG's had a pretty big hit with "Green Onion" back in the 60's.

Pretty sure Stevie Ray Vaughan's brother was a musician, but not as talented as SR.
