Inviting is fine. They can decline. The way Yub was invited in the thread that caught my attention was not simply inviting.

That alone wouldnt have been much. How he choice to oblidge, however, by spam/flooding in here, that was a bit of a problem. Some MFers do mock the BL. Even if that wasnt Yub's intention, it came off that way. The Mine Field wouldnt want BLers going into there and starting insulting parody threads about the content of thier subforum.
