Need Advice? Ask Morrhigan.

Morrhigan

Pussie
Someone mentioned "Dear Abbey" in my "Ask Morrhigan Anything" thread, and I kinda like the idea. So...

Need advice? Problems with your in-laws, got a giant hole in your back yard? Don't know how to tell your parents you're pregnant? Need to know how to get rid of cockroaches? Can't remember if it's okay to wear white after Labor Day?

Just Ask Morrhigan.

I'll look up the answer, give you my honest opinion, or at least try to say something amusing.

Is it starve a fever feed a cold, or starve a cold feed a fever?

You could just ask her in RL, Hambil.

My arm hurts when I do this! What do I do?

In r/l, I would've just said, "I dunno. I've heard it both ways." This way, he actually got me to look it up.

When is it "lie down" versus "lay down" or "laid down?"

When I'm cancelling AOL, and they ask me what I like to do online, is it okay to tell the truth and say that I look at porn and pictures of dead people?

When you do what? I need diagrams, please, or a video.

The thing to remember is that "lay" refers to an object, not the subject. For instance, in the sentence "I will lay the gun down," the subject is I, the verb is lay, and the object is the gun.

"Lie," on the other hand, refers to the subject. So, while I would lay the gun down, I myself would lie down. ("I will lie down.")

The most confusing part is that the past tense of "lie" is "lay." "Lay" is also a separate verb, and its past tense is "laid."

Yes. Then get a good lawyer.

Why doesn't a decent poster like you try to get her own forum here?

Because I am way too lazy, and tend to lurk for weeks or even months without saying much of anything. My own forum? Too much pressure! But thanks. :)

You could always demand and recieve a forum, and then give it to me.... sort of like a silent partnership.

^I sense that you have an agenda.

You would be given full credit for any successes of the forum, of course.

Being a "wiccan", it's natural to assume you have copious amounts of underarm hair. I do as well. Any advice on how to braid it to make it more attractive?

Where is Hagbil?

I recommend corn-rows. If you don't have enough hair for that, you can always get extensions. Remember to secure them with super-glue so they won't come out when swimming or showering.
