So, is it funny because it makes fun of itself? I'm trying to go with it here honestly for once.
The strip has never been funny, and this one takes that idea and runs with it even further. Is everyone interested in this simply because it's Bogner and you all know him and he's making a serious effort to do something constructive with the medium? That's admirable. Someone should give him some funny ideas to materialize, because I think his ideas are flat.
The drawings are nice. He's always had good technical skills, he just has a pretty lame and plebian sense of humor.

I don't like to tell another artist what they should do to make their stuff better, or how to do it more or less, but I can't help but wonder if he'd Let Rich Koller write a few strips for him, what the result would be?
Plug, plug for myself here, but w/ my shit, i don't think about what's gonna be so funny or not, i just write and draw what I like and what seems fucked up to me.
It's gotten a few chuckles here and there, esp. w/ a non comics crowd, their jaws drop. Effect accomplished then.
But then when it's read by others who do know comics, web or mini like David Recine, they feel it's not funny or that it's flat.
To each their own, as long as i'm getting what I want out of it, it doesn't matter too much imo.
(other than improving w/ art of course.).

I've said it before, he knows how to draw cartoons, that's not the issue. ALL of this came about after I made one real criticism of the writingpof the strip (which turns out to be accurate, he isn't funny).
