New Doctor Who

...so no one watched tonight's episode?

Nope. Just recently watched Forest of the Dead on youtube.

Still waiting to watch the episode Midnight as soon as its posted.

Trying to keep up with the Brits and ahead of the SCIFI Channel.

It was okay.

Colin Baker. Everyone's tenth favourite Doctor.

Ooh, that's the Doctor I saw!! He was at the London Expo last month. I didn't notice until my friend said "John, Doctor Who!" and I thought he was pointing at a poster.

Tonight's episode was a letdown as usual after the wonderful BSG finale. They obviously wanted to create a feeling of claustrophobia by not moving the action (if that's the word) outside of the vehicle, but it didn't work. And none of the characters were very interesting really, so we didn't care if they all died. Especially after they threatened to kill a woman and the Doc just because of some Simon Says.

It was quite creepy, but overdone. They did too much of the repeating, then they did too much of the talking at the same time, then they did too much of the talking first.

I liked that the young lad was called "Jethro".

It would have been a really nice character peice... IF RTD COULD FUCKING WRITE CHARACTERS.

I'm pretty sure he just used cardboard cutouts. Arguing parents and emo kid? Check *snip snip snip* Professor and doting student? Check. *snip snip snip*

Oh shit I've been using characters from the 2008 book of cut out characters, not the future book of cut out characters. Oh well I guess these people in the future will act exactly like people today AGAIN!!!

Oh and there was that annoying fucking gay reference.

The father looked like Ricky Gervais.

I did think they might actually throw the doc out since he is meant to be dead in next weeks episoide, that would have been a shocking ending.

Who reckons next weeks with the dead doc takes place in the other universe the one Rose was stranded in?

COULD BE, COULD BE. I think there were those airship things from that universe in one of the ads.

SPOILERS:

Roses face: still really big.

Rosie's got a gun.

That was RTD masturbating for about 45 mins.

Too many fucking close-ups of Catherine Tate's face while she was SHOUTING. Billie wasn't exactly looking good either. Were her teeth always like that? Did she always hiss between them when speaking!?

I saw the one where they're in the library last night, it was one of the best Dr Who's I think I"ve ever seen... at least in recent memory. I was surprised to see the chick from ER in it. She's from the Dr's future, somehow.. and she has a diary and shit that she won't let him see it. I wonder if he ever peeks at it. The little girl who dreams of the library is freaking me out.

Did you see confidental?

Billie is quite teh slapper with no makeup on, they must trowel that shit onto her to make her look like she does on the show

I haven't seen confidential.. is that the name of an episode? We're a few behind you guys, so Billie has only been in one of them, and she was kind of a ghost or something.

I have seen the commercials for the Showtime series she's on.. Diary of a call girl or something like that

Its a program on BBC3 comes on straight after the episode, it shows the making of that particular episode, and drops hints about episodes to come.

Tonights hint was that they might actually be
planning on destroying the tardis
!!!

Oh.. they don't show the confidential thing here then.

Doctor Who: Confidential really annoys me sometimes, in that every episode is just:

[SERIES OF CLIPS FROM EPISODE YOU HAVE JUST FINISHED WATCHING]

RTD: Well yes, you see, I loved this episode. Why? Oh, well it's because I'm fucking fantastic, that's why.

David Tennant: Yeah, well [this week's guest star] was really great to work with!!

Catherine Tate: Yeah, well [this week's guest star] was really great to work with!!

[Short segment about how something in this weeks episode relates to something bigger in Doctor Who, usually with clips from previous episodes or the classic series, the best part of Confidential]

RTD: I fucking loved this episode [because I wrote it because I'm fucking awesome DO YOU SEE HOW I USED A GAY PERSON HERE I'M SO PROGESSIVE / but it's not as good as one of my episodes because they're all fantastic.]

Of course, for the DVDs they cut them down from 45mins to 15min for no apparent reason, so you get:

RTD: Well yes, you see, I loved this episode. Why? Oh, well it's because I'm fucking fantastic, that's why.

David Tennant: Yeah, well [this week's guest star] was really great to work with!!

Catherine Tate: Yeah, well [this week's guest star] was really great to work with!!

Which makes them just nauseating.

I'm less excited about the finale after having seen Gwen Cooper in the preview.
