NEW SMALLVILLE

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
For some reason E4 have started showing season eight (I think) only a month after season seven finished. But hey, can't complain!

GOOD THINGS: No more Lana! AT LAST. They should have shitcanned her four years ago, but better late than never. Honestly taking out her crap helped the two episodes I watched tonight a lot. There's was no "ten minutes talking to Lana" interlude.

No more Lex. I don't think they can really explain why and how he disappeared but I'm sure they'll retcon something if they ever get Rosenbaum to guest star. He was one of the better actors in the show but the character had gone ridiculously evil so there wasn't much more they could do with him.

His replacement seems interesting so far, in that she's not too over the top evil (yet) and her acting seemed fine.

Good to see Allison Mack move up to second in the opening credits.

Lois actually looked fit.

The fire-starter girl in episode two was fit and her story was pretty good. To be honest I thought it was better handled than similar stories in Heroes. Man, Heroes sucks.

Actually the best thing is they actually seem to be moving forward with Clark leaving the farm and amazingly getting a job in the Planet right away (desk next to Lois of course!) The show's needed changes for years and they've finally made them. A bit.

BAD THINGS: It's still Smallville.

Why is Martian Manhunter only in about three minutes of an episode each season?

Aqua Man will always suck.

Oh yeah, the new guy is Doomsday, right? Let's see where they go withit...

Why is Martian Manhunter only in about three minutes of an episode each season?

Because he lost his powers, I guess.

Even before that. He just showed up, saved Clark, then left again, every time.

Oh yeah, the new guy is Doomsday, right? Let's see where they go withit...

According to last weeks episode Doomsday was created by Zod and his wife as their son and was created to destroy Earth.Apparently they sent Doomsday to Earth as genetic matter attached to Kal-El's rocketship.

All I know is that Sam Witwer (Doomsday) needs to take his fucking shirt off every episode because that man is cut.

Doctor Baltar shot him in the head to become a man.

Well it worked.

Wait, I thought Callie shot him?

Nah, I think it was Baltar. Cally was just a bystander who lied to protect Baltar afterwards.

Crashdown was holding a gun to Callie.

Aha! I knew Callie was involved.

Well, karma got her and she's floating in space now.

Oh noes...Chloe has been tainted!

Something happened to her taint?

Brainiac was slowly taking over her mind so he could make contact with Doomsday; basically Chloe was acting as a transmitter. She kept seeing the symbol for Doom, then Brainiac took all of her memories away except those of Davis/Doomsday, so he would be the only one she could trust.

Clark takes her to the fortress and Jor-El does some mojo and you see the black oil seep out from her ears. She is back to being the Chloe we all know and love, minus one thing.

CLARK MADE SURE THAT SHE DIDN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT HIS POWERS, KRYPTON, OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

Davis/Doom has a major hardon for Chloe and is determined to win her over, and next week you see him in Doomsday regalia busting up her wedding.

Oh, and one more thing:

Brainiac infects the ice fortress and you see it turning black.

Is Marsters back?

You heard his voice at the end.

That slut.
