For some reason E4 have started showing season eight (I think) only a month after season seven finished. But hey, can't complain!
GOOD THINGS: No more Lana! AT LAST. They should have shitcanned her four years ago, but better late than never. Honestly taking out her crap helped the two episodes I watched tonight a lot. There's was no "ten minutes talking to Lana" interlude.
No more Lex. I don't think they can really explain why and how he disappeared but I'm sure they'll retcon something if they ever get Rosenbaum to guest star. He was one of the better actors in the show but the character had gone ridiculously evil so there wasn't much more they could do with him.
His replacement seems interesting so far, in that she's not too over the top evil (yet) and her acting seemed fine.
Good to see Allison Mack move up to second in the opening credits.
Lois actually looked fit.
The fire-starter girl in episode two was fit and her story was pretty good. To be honest I thought it was better handled than similar stories in Heroes. Man, Heroes sucks.
Actually the best thing is they actually seem to be moving forward with Clark leaving the farm and amazingly getting a job in the Planet right away (desk next to Lois of course!) The show's needed changes for years and they've finally made them. A bit.
BAD THINGS: It's still Smallville.
Why is Martian Manhunter only in about three minutes of an episode each season?
Aqua Man will always suck.
