He appears in Star Trek: The Next Generation as the captain of the Federation flagship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D), and also captains USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) in the First Contact film. Picard also appears in the TNG-era films Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis, and has a cameo appearance in the pilot episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
