1) I avoid news media like the plague, so my sources for national news are mainly ppl who I can't prevent from telling me, and TK / other mb's for international stuff if someone happens to post about it.

3) Oh dear, no idea, really. There is no such thing as unbiased news, so there isn't really a "good" source. I'd say the daily tabloids are worse than the daily news on the German PBS, since the latter at least try to reduce it to telling their choice of newsworthy stuff without commenting too much, but I would never rely on it in any case.

I tend to steer clear of the news once I'm off work, especially the days when I would caption "Good Morning America". I've done the London Bombings, the Virginia Tech shootings, the pope dying and then the new one being elected. It's nice to go home and put on the SyFy channel and unwind.
So, to sum up, the only news I watch at night is "The Daily Show". That totally counts.

Yeah, I watch The Daily Show when I can stay awake that late. I'm usually nodding off by 10:30 though 
Other than that, I read all sorts of news websites, usually because I'm having some DEEP MEANINGFUL debate about a particular thing. It's good that way, because I read the sources other people link to, plus I Google whatever it is myself, so I end up with a variety.

I used to watch the news all the time, read newspapers etc etc
then I just stopped.
But now being back in school all the professors expect you to be updated about current topics and I just want to tell them to eff off. : D
If the news is big enough I know I will hear about it eventually.
So now I am relegated to the Wall Street Journal and any other major news sources in the US. One professor has told us to check out non-American news sources because all of our papers and channels are extremely self-centered.
I hope she likes my paper I turned in on an Australian Journal.
