Next years Doctor Who split in two mini seasons

Not sure what to think of this, I think I would rather have them in one go, but on the other hand it isnt as long a wait for new who as it would have been.

It does still seem a little weird that it takes the BBC a year to make 13 episodes, yet american shows pump out twice that a year.

He's doing it so that
A) he can have more big cliffhangers season finale type episodes
B) He doesn't have to compete with the summer sun to get kids in to watch the show.
C) There isn't as big a wait between the end of the series and the Christmas special.

He'll make it work.
