I dont get it, why hire a bunch of comedians to be in a film, and then not give them any funny lines?

Why hire people legendary for their ad libs, and then not give them any opertunities to do any?

Basically whats the point of the film?

I didn't think Ricky Gervais (or his character) was funny at all. Just seemed like a bad Mark Heap impression (y'know, the guy from Spaced and Green Wing).

The only reason Gervais and Coogan were in it at all were because they're mates with Stiller.

I agree they were not given much to do though. At least Coogan was given a decent part in Tropic Thunder.
