People get really angry with me when I tell them I do not like guns and do not want them around me. It is a scary thing to piss off people who carry guns. Be prepared to lose some friends when you start carrying a gun because they'll be afraid of you.

I don't like guns either eloisel and I don't like the way that they are often used irresponsibly. In fact, I've been rather afraid of guns most of my life. But it's even scarier to have a grown man you don't know grab you as you're walking out of your place of work and begin to drag you into his car. I've also had people try to follow me home from work. (I guess I attract crazies?) And if it came down to me being raped and killed or me killing someone who was intending to do this to me, I would gladly do whatever it took to keep myself alive.

But that's one of the reasons I don't intend to carry a gun around. I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing it. So, when I'm out (unless I were going somewhere where I felt very, very unsafe) I'll just have to rely on all my kickboxing classes

Plus, all my friends are already afraid of me, so it works out.
