No BSG thread this week!

Fuddlemiff

Is this real life?
Because it was boring!

We found out a bit about the way Adama ticks, mainly that he almost has a Baltar/Six style subconscious dead wife in his head, almost. Meanwhile, Hotdog's dog wasn't so hot, apparently having herpes or something. Helo shuffling away is the most sensible thing that man's done all season. Oh and there was that B story(or was it the A story, I couldn't tell) about Galen and Cally being trapped in a cargo thing that'd be never been featured before.

Bit of a waste of an episode, really. Roll on Baltar's trial or some Cylon attack or something..

I know.. I'm getting tired of the boring episodes! And this is the one I have to do a frakking podcast for. I am struggling to come up with 5 minutes of material. All the stuff that happened in this episode was interesting but not as the main plot. I want to see Baltar's trial.. and some ships blowing up.

I like the stuff with Bill and Laura though.. cause they're so cute.

Use my line about Helo finally making a wise decision. ;)

Oh, one bit I was confused about was the very beginning when Adama wakes up and they show his wife. We know she's not really there, but Tigh looks at the bed and gives a really weird reaction on top of the "happy anniversary" line. For a moment I thought Adama had slept with a lookalike of his wife, and it was Tigh's reaction that made me think that.

I noticed that too.. I watched it twice last night and the second time I tried to really look at Adama's bed to see what Tigh was looking at. All I could see was, maybe, some pillows lined up on the bed. Maybe Adama was humping the pillows while he slept.

I'll have to watch it again now. I checked as well to see if anyone was in the bed. Maybe that's the reason why the camera panned over there like that, to confirm that no one was really in it. Kind of had the opposite effect though.

It was almost as if looking at the bed made him realize that it was Adama's anniversary.. it was kinda weird.

And this was the most interesting part of the episode. A shot of a bed with nobody in it.

Only other thing I thought was maybe that it was Adama's office and not his quarters(he has both, doesn't he?) and that Tigh was looking odd because Adama had fallen asleep there instead of the quarters. But I don't think that's even right.

I didn't even think about it possibly being his office.. but it could've been. He did wash up and brush his teeth there too though. Maybe Tigh saw the picture of Adama and Caroline and that's what tipped him off.

Nope...picture was in the drawer.

I figured he had some stray civilian in his bed, but guess not.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

That was the latest episode in summary.

LOL.. perfect.

Next week on BSG the chief leads a labor strike, Roslin crashes on a planet, STILL NO CYLONS, and Baltar tries to publish a book or some such shit.

I would watch an episode about a day in sickbay and Doc Cottles wacky antics.

I would watch the shit out of that.

But this episode was not that.

^ As long as Helo doesn't turn up halfway through and do something stupid.

Are you serious? I can't tell... Well the Roslin crashing bit sounds interesting, though they seem to encounter a lot of planets these days. I hope she crashes in a shuttle and not another raptor. Unlikely though. Oh and Baltar writing a book sounds funny, but IT'S NOT A TRIAL, IS IT?!

I was serious unfortunately. Tyrol is asked to be the labor leader and they go on strike.. OMG the Cylons have wiped out our society and we're running for our lives but we don't get enough days off so let's strike and shit.

Roslin crashes on some planet but I don't know any details about that. So I don't know if it's a shuttle or Colonial One or a raptor.. well raptors are kinda like shuttles anyway.

Baltar finishes the end of his book and Roslin doesn't want to let him publish it or something like that.. not many details on that either. Apparently his lawyers get involved.. lawyers I assume are supposed to be defending him during his trial.

Baltar must've been waiting around for his trial even longer than we have if he managed to write a whole book.

And the strike does sound totally stupid, what happens if they get attacked?!

Oh God.. I should stay out of the spoilers.. it sounds worse now.

Shades of new Caprica as Chief finds himself embroiled in a labor dispute. Not knowing which direction to turn, he seeks the counsel of deposed president Baltar who, himself, is pondering his past actions. Seelix makes a return in this episode and looks to be pining for chief whose wife is still in grave shape.

AND

From Gateworld:

A couple more tidbits for next week's episode "Dirty Hands"...

A Raptor will crash into Colonial One rather spectacularly. Roslin survives.

Roslin attempts to stop Baltar from writing the last chapter of his book. Baltar's lawyer had been sneaking the earlier chapters out.

Baltar's book is called "My Triumph's, My Mistakes"

And perhaps most importantly...
Tyrol goes on a diet
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyrol goes to Baltar for advice? come on! I love Baltar but he was a terrible president, and he's slimy.

A little more spoiler info

While Chief Tyrol is on an inspection of some civilian ships the Chief finds out that the crews of these ships are being worked like slaves. This will lead Tyrol to pick up his mantel of Union leader and call for a general strike in the fleet.

The spoiler about the slave labor doesn't sound real.. I think it was a joke. So don't hold me to that one.

Here's another one that sounds a little better.

Adama and Roslin are speaking with a man who is responsible for getting fuel out to the fleet. The shipments have been interrupted by a glitch, and Adama and Roslin are concerned about a Cylon attack happening while the ships are low on fuel. Fuel Rep Guy is being a prick. "When the fuel is flowing my calls don't get answered, but after one glitch I get a face-to-face with the president and the admiral. Maybe we need to have some more glitches." Roslin asks if it's a threat, and the man quotes Baltar's book (which his lawyer has been sneaking out and publishing), at which point Roslin has the man arrested. "I'm in the mood for a good old-fashioned book burning."
