Obama says despite shortcomings of Bush administration, impeachment is not acceptable

Your post sounded as though if there is a mob of politicians waiting with the noose of impeachment +5 outside of the White House. Obviously you couldn't have been referring to that, as it isn't happening. By "circus," you must have meant "administration."

With Bush being gout of office in the next 18 months, it's a waste of time to get an impeachment trial set up, and there aren't enough Democrats or sane Republicans in office to make the impeachment stick (IIRC, there needs to be at least 2/3rds majority to kick him out).

And what's the alternative to Bush? Cheney? I'd be afraid the guy would die of a heart attack before the end of his term.

This was about the point in Clinton's second term when the Repubs started their circus, and there wasn't enough support to convict then either. It didn't stop them.

If the Dems could impeach Bush they would do it if he had two days left in office. Bush has done nothing impeachable. Never in my life have a witnessed a bleeding heart liberal in any form take the high road.

And I seriously don't know who I'm voting for, I'm not liking the Republican candidates and I'm not so thrilled with the Dems either. All I know is that A) I'm glad I'll be married come election day, it's a miracle and B) if Hillary gets elected I'll be living with curiousa2z.

Oh, so that means Bush can tear down high rises in downtown manhattan and take away our civil liberties in the process, kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and perpetrate the biggest LIE ever and we won't "stoop to that level of circus"??

Fuck you, nobody knows better than I do that our Prez and VP are criminals, that the balance of power is ruined and that the Consitution is basically now toilet paper.

But who the fuck is going to listen in Washington so that something tangible and swift can be done to bring the perps to justice? Evidence comes out all the time and is ignored.

At times like this, nothing short of revolution will change things in Washington. Those fat-assed suits have completely lost touch, on both sides, and expecting something to change without the Prez committing an armed robbery is just naive.

Change things with your vote this time. Like we should have in 04, and did but not enough in 06.
