Yeah it's much like a dumbed down version of Virtuality, but with more melodrama (and Virtuality had quite a bit of that already) and instead of an scary, unseen force in the computers there's a scary, unseen force in the minds of the crew. Back on Earth, mission control have been aware of this alien presence since the beginning and allowed it to dictate who was selected to fly (which is actually quite a good way of explaining why they're allowed to be astronauts when they're all so fucked up in the head), but they don't know what its true intentions are.
Goss' diversion with the solar flare was interesting, but I have to wonder whether he could ever have expected the astronauts to be even more suspicious after discovering that it was merely an opportunely timed drill. Seems we're going to meet Beta next week; I wonder how they'll keep the element of mystery active after revealing its nature.
I saw the Halloween one yesterday, good to see the crew starting to put the pieces together (well, Zoe and Donner, anyway). I wonder why rabbit lady (I don't remember all their names) and the fat guy didn't get any visions.
Same here, just four. I don't count ITV as a television channel, since as far as I'm concerned it's just one of those celeb-stalker magazines, but with moving images. Shit like "The Cube" is the game show equivalent of that page with the wordsearches and anagram text-in quizes. "Text 43468 with your answer to this difficult celebrity anagram: BAVID DECKHAM". And the news is a joke too, if they're not advertising the latest cameo appearance they've managed to secure for "Corrie", then they're telling you that one of the nation's most consumed foods is riddled with cancer causing toxins "join us at ten to find out which".
As for American shows, I just download whichever take my fancy.
There's one cute girl (the "heart") and one older hot one who's sort of typical Hollywood looking. And then there's Laura Harris, who you may remember from The Faculty.
