Official Trek 11 countdown/news thread

This sounds like the early development of Nemesis.
 
I remember reading about the scene where Picard and Data steal a shuttle and fly it around inside the Romulan ship and thinking it sound cool.

I was wrong.
 
Even Deanna's mindrape was lame.
 
To be fair, the deleted scene where she got mindraped in the turbolift (not a euphemism) made it seem more substantial and less like a plot device. As it was in the movie, it was just a distasteful and lame replacement for Uhura's line in TUC, "well that thing's gotta have a tailpipe".
 
And they cut out Riker's "don't worry, Hell is dark" line that people were using in their sigs on TrekBBS for months before the movie came out.
 
If any Trek film ever needed a director's cut, it was Nemesis. The stuff they cut out was some of the best stuff in the film (ESPECIALLY THE ENDING).
 
With the seatbelt?
 
YES. I want that seatbelt CANON damnit.
 
Well... *sighs at his own nerdyness* it kinda partly was canon in the end, since they used it in Enterprise after the original chair got stolen. Probably didn't have the seatbelts though, I'll admit.
 
Is this the seatbelt that you use while steering the ship with the joystick?
 
I like the joke Riker plays on the nex First Officer (who was played by someone I should know, right?) It was very in character for Riker and it actually felt like a "TNG moment".

Steven Culp, who would later go on to play Major Hayes in the thrid season of Enterprise.

And he was Rex in Desperate Housewives, who sadly got murdered by a psychopathic pharmacist. He also played one of the Kennedys at some point.
