Official Trek 11 countdown/news thread

If we're gonna see Kirk as a kid, we'd better see his brother BECAUSE SO HELP ME IF HE'S NOT THERE.

BUT let's think about this: If we're seeing young Kirk, and he's say, oh, about 13, then it's the right time for us to see the launch of the Enterprise with Captain April and a very old Johnathan Archer and SO HELP ME IF THESE EXPECTATIONS ARE NOT MET I WILL BE VERY ANGRY.
 
Also if Chris Pine says "sabotage" instead of "sabotaaage" I will be violently ill in the cinema!

A Star Trek fan before his work on Star Trek XI, Henke enjoyed portraying the unpleasant relative. "It was fun, it was fun to play such a...asshole. You know, such a bad character."

Henke had no scenes with Chris Pine as revealed when he was asked if Pine "flubs his lines a lot." "No, cause I just had...I was with the little kid," said Henke.

Working with J.J. Abrams was another pleasant experience for Henke. It was "Awesome! Awesome, really nice guy," said Henke. "And he was so positive, and he was, he was awesome! He was such a nice guy, and so into it. Running around, just really into it."

Aw, just when we needed Don LaFontaine most.

The movie should end with a grown up Kirk marching up to his uncle and saying "I'M CONFIDENT NOW, MISTER!" and kicking him in the balls. But just as he leaves the uncle shouts "I'M YOUR REAL FATHER!!!" and there's a cliffhanger for the next movie right there.
 
I really liked how Kirk was always callin' people, "Mister!" Like he was reverting to the character of Dennis the Menace whenever he'd get irritable or somethin'.
 
Maybe he went around town being a "menace" to escape his abusive uncle when he was young!
 
Maybe instead of a live-action actor, they should just cut in scenes of John Candy from "Uncle Buck"! COMEDY GOLD!
 
But he should be overdubbed by James Earl Jones.
 
I think Young Kirk should be played by a boxer terrier puppy.
 
Young Spock should have green fingernails which are never explain or referenced.
 
Wil Wheaton should play Wesley Crusher's great grandfather.
 
And save the ship.
 
With a school project that little Jimmy Kirk scoffed at and shouted "get a LIFE!"
 
And then they get into a fight over little Janice Rand after they learn she let both of them feel her up in the coat closet.
 
I hope if Rand's in it you gets raped again. For continuity.
 
But Wacky, why would you want Rand to rape meh? I'd much rather be raped by Summer Glau.
