Official Trek 11 countdown/news thread

Yeah, it's pretty lame, but I don't really care if they're trying to attract morons, so long as the actual movie is good.
 
It was shown during UFC so that's probably why it's so "YEEHAA"
 
Even I have to admit that there's no way the film could be AS BAD as it appeared in that TV spot.
 
I think I had a dream about this movie last night because I remember Nero being in it and me thinking they still hadn't explained his motivation.

There's a thread at TrekBBS with reviews and SPOILERS from people who have seen the movie. Everyone who's seen it says it's good, but I guess they could all be wrong!

Sound really promising, although I've only read the non-spoilery reviews. Feel a bit sorry for the Aussies who thought they were going to be the first in the world to see it, though. :)

I love the McCoy scene they posted online. Karl Urban's got it down to a tee. Hope the rest are as good. We still haven't heard Chekov's accent, which I remember reading ages ago was supposed to be really distracting.
 
I've stoped watching them, the more scenes they post the less new material there will be when I go see the film.
 
Watch them when drunk and you'll have forgotten them when you see the film sober.

I don't really like their take on the theme tune, hopefully that'll just play over the credits anyway. "Enterprising Young Man" is a more actiony version of the music on the website, which I really like. This one starts to sound a bit generic though, like it could be from Batman or Spiderman or anything.
 
IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION I like the clips and can't wait for the soundtrack (the music is literally the only part of the film I have 100% no worries about).
 
I'm actually very excited about this one. I'm not reading the spoiler-filled reviews. I hope I can get off work early enough to see it opening night, but in my line of work it's hard to tell when I'm going to get off. (Work that is)
 
I'm almost completely sure this movie is going to suck balls, and I say that as both a Star Trek fan and a JJ Abrams fan.

If I'm wrong you can tar and feather me later.
