Mine have been held together with sewing thread at both temples for months now.

Luckily my stash of contact lenses hasn't run out yet.
 
My glasses are all bent and the lenses are all scratched up. I'm way overdue for a new pair. Yay civil service job with good vision benefits. 6 months until they kick in though.
 
Still, it's a Good Thing. Glasses are so bloody expensive!
Mind you, mine are a pair of sexy French designer Titanium metal....Titanium? That what it says on the inside of the frames...

hmmm..that should come in handy if I fall into a volcano..at least my glasses frames will survive...

I have lovely Prada frames. At first the optician wasn't sure my coke bottle lenses would fit the frame, even feather weight lenses but they did and now I have cute glasses. I mostly wear contacts though.
 
I can't see my frames for the duct tape anymore. I figure duct taped glasses will be the fashion rage one day and I'm just ahead of the curve. Either that or I just don't give a flying fuck anymore.
