First you download Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
After installing that, you have to learn to play with it
That's actually fun...any questions you have about it, post here...I'm kind of flexible with it these days, and so is Cow, I'm pretty sure, so we can help you get up to speed with it, should you need it.
You'll also want a USB microphone. I got a usb headset from Radio Shack for about 30 dollars that works just fine.
You'll also need a WMA to MP3 coverter for the songs in that format
