Yes it is. It is about my fondness for Onyx now that I am no longer as fond of you. By the way, Christmas was wonderful this year. Thanks for the merry wishes. Hope yours was wonderful too. May the ringing in of the New Year be most excellent for each and every one of us.

Come to think of it Fake Eloisel's trip plans always sound a lot like one of Jack's things-I'm-gonna-do bits -

The wine/crackling fire/roast meat/vegetable whatever/family on the way and whatnot.

Sort of a strange style point to have in common.

Fixing to go on a cruise to Bahamas. Counting days til vacation. Other than that, just another day. Xmas is fun to view through the eyes of children and mostly a huge waste of time for adults. I missed the excitement gene for holidays by having a family that I didn't really want to see for that many hours in a row.
 
Solo or with something warm and soft I hope. Our family get together was wild. I don't think Ive ever seen an xmas quite like this one.
 
Yeah I'm going with the SO. It's her present really, I'm just the tagalong. Nice gig if you can get it. It'll be fun to do it once, I don't foresee it being a regular occurance. I don't like being regimented in my vacation plans.

My first cruise was the one I went on this past September to Progreso and Cozumel. Thought I would have fun with the bunch of friends I went with but didn't expect much from the cruise itself. I don't drink alcoholic beverages or gamble much. I'm not into karaoke. I'm also vegetarian and have a small stomach now so the food is only of minimal interest. The group I went with didn't want to do any of the standard shore excursions but do something on our own with a hired driver. I planned to write, sit on the balcony, hang out with my friends, enjoy the ride.

Had a wonderful time. Gambled away $40 on a slot machine. The food choices were excellent. Walked all over the ship, top to bottom, back to front, each deck. Listened to all of the musicians performing in various places. Attended the variety and comedy shows. Watched more than a few karaoke performers, some were quite talented. Learned a couple of new dances. Did all the things I thought I would do too. Loved it so much I planned right away this cruise with my daughter to Key West and Cozumel next month.

Maybe I enjoyed it because I drove all over Florida back in February and all over New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island back in May. It was nice to have someone else take care of the transportation.

The staff on the ship I was on spoiled the passengers. It was wonderful. Don't know that I'd want to cruise exclusively as a vacation option but a cruise every year would definitely be something I would like to do.
