I want to smell dark matter
Here are my thoughts on season six, spoilers in the unlikely event anyone ever reads this.
It was about the level of the last few seasons. It was good but sometimes the tone is weird. I know it's a comedy drama but they kept talking about how much rougher things were in Max and how evil some of the prisoners were, but then we'd have flashbacks that leaned heavily towards comedy and stupid pranks involving pooping on things. The flashback to Carol and Barb murdering their kid sister was very disturbing, but in the present day they didn't seem that evil (Barb's actress was better than Carol's but she didn't really do much.) "Daddy" wasn't very convincing as a heavy and had a stupid name. "Badison"'s actress was better but she had a stupid name too and seemed more petty than scary.
I was glad they didn't do a massacre in the kickball game and went for the happy ending, but it was a bit similar to season 3's ending at the lake.
On the plus side, I thought Piper was used quite well this season(!) They didn't have her pretending to be a badass anymore and she was more back in her season one role of being well meaning but clueless. The wedding to Alex was sweet.
On the DOWN SIDE they got rid of many characters I actually liked (Maritza, Boo, Soso, that Muslim woman whose name I can't remember) but kept Daya, the worst acted, least convincing character in the show's history and gave her a story where she transformed into a lesbian drug-addicted gangster over the course of three episodes. Shockingly enough she couldn't pull it off!
Red going totally crazy was disappointing. I hope she gets a good ending (I assume next season is the last?) Taystee's story was good but we could have seen more of her trial. Did Lorna lose the baby?
I was pleased they showed that some of the guards are actually people rather than having them all be cartoon evil all the time.
Anyway yeah it was fine!
I may have been wrong about this (she gave birth before filming started I think) but there was definitely something going on in the first half of the season when her arm was in the sling and she was sitting down all the time.

Just putting Laura Prepon's arm in a sling isn't really doing much to distract from her very obvious pregnancy.
