I've become friendly with this person at work lately, because we share a lot of commonality. Someone points at me and we both say the same thing in response "you're pointing three back at yo'sef" shit like that. I asked her if she'd like to sit down at lunch and she said "Would I?" and I responded "Hare Lip" (from that very old joke, and she cracked up, because she heard it at the same time as a response from the same joke, but had never heard anyone ever respond that way before.

Take the expression "suck alum, and drool" That's simply what happens when you suck on an alum tablet. Alum is a drying agent used in baking in the 40's and 50's, and if you get it near mucus membranes it sucks all the moisture of of them quickly. So...when you suck alum, you drool as your bucal cavity responds with saliva.
