PARTRIDGE

14 years ago lol I still think of it as the "new Partridge."

Fucking lost it at "wife banged left, right and centre by a car driver."

"it's not the word clown"

fucking lol. :ROFLMAO:

I've been rewatching watching This Time with Alan Partridge recently, and it is UNCANNY.

I don't think Dracula is known as having frying pans for hands.

It makes me happy that Tim Key is back as well. He's brilliant.

I hope Michael finally returns (we never saw his body!)

Watched the first episode of How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge.) Laughed a good few times so that's nice! I found with This Time that I found it funnier when I watched it back or found clips on youtube later. This was good, I think, but it jumped around a lot so it's hard to judge overall? But it was funny! I think Alan shouting at Sdiekick Simon that he shouldn't have given him the day off for his dad's funeral was the funniest part. I don't think it had anything that will stick with me as long as, like the zombie bit from I'm Alan Partridge, but that's a very high bar. I don't have much insight but it's worth watching! Five more episodes to go and I'm not sure what the format will be since everything from the trailer felt like it was in this first episode.

Second episode wasn't very good, sadly. A couple of laughs but some stuff fell flat. I feel that's the problems with Partridge since the Gibbons brothers took over: they'll do these sketches that take a while to set up, but if you don't find them funny you're just waiting for the next one to start. There were also a few bits that had me thinking "if this show is a documentary Alan made himself, why did he leave in that part that totally humiliated him?" Maybe I'm thinking about it too much. But, on that: the first episode stuck to Alan being about 70 now (he was "nearly fity" in I'm Alan Partridge series too, over twenty years ago) with the woman who was a year above him in school looking in her seventies. But here his two childhood friends looked early fifties!? I also don't really buy that Alan would have had an Asian childhood friend, sorry! Listen to the early Partridge stuff when he was racist and homophobic as fuck!
