Pefect ipod workout mix, what's yours??

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
Looking for the perfect ipod mix, lots of fast bpm to keep my energy level up.

So far I have the following:

Black Eyed Peas: Hey Mama and Pump It
Beyonce: Ring the Alarm
Destiny's Child: Clubbin'
Fitty: In Da Club
No Doubt: Hey Baby and Ex-Girlfriend
Shinedown: Heroes and Save Me
Fergie: Fergalicious and London Bridge
Jay-Z :Big Pimpin', Brush ya Shoulders Off, Show Me What you Got
Last but NOT least:
Outkast: Bombs Over Baghdad. If you're not familiar with this song, d/l it and you'll see it's the perfect "finishing song", since the bpm are through the roof.

But I need more. I like stuff that shreds like Shinedown, or has a fast beat like the Outkast & BEP songs. Help! I need at least 1-1.5 hours of music. Thanks!

Prodigy - Smack my bitch up - that selection needs some prodigy IMO

Other than that -
French Kiss - lil Louis (old school, but great for workout)
Sweet Smoke OR Giffin - Mr Scruff (kind of odd jazz / funk with loads of samples - very "London" from about 5 years ago - but excellent for running)
Nas - Escobar '97 - (old - as you can see by the title - but more in your Jay Z area than my other choices)
Wyclef Jean - Anything can happen (old - see above)
Sonic Boom - Desert (old school house, bit slow, but the repetive beat and sounds are great for workout again)
Enola Gay - OMD (i know, very odd, but then I like a surprise on my iPod)

EDIT - BTW - do not hold me responsible for this stuff - I have odd tastes

^ hmmmm...may just steal some of the ideas from above....

- I also have Pump It on mine, and speaking of odd choices for a workout mine (but they seem to energize me)also includes:

Drowning Pool - XXX Soundtrack;(this is also excellent for that last push with weights - very aggro);
Bring Me To Life - Evanescence (if you tell anyone I listen to them I'll have to...you know the rest);
Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down;
Black Black Heart - David Usher( still a lively pace, but coming down a bit from peak aerobic phase);
Immigrant Song - Led Zep; ok, that's just an excuse to listen to the song again.
Sanctuary - The Cult.

^^OH YEAH! Immigrant Song and Sanctuary are great! Also gotta d/l "Fire Woman" from The Cult. Thanks for the reminder.

"Bring Me to Life" is about the only evanescence song I can stomach.

I don't have anything specific for this sort of thing - I usually dib into my favourite 70-track Rock mix, but if I were to have a 10 track listing, in this order:

Nerina Pallot - Everybody's Gone to War
Undertones - Teenage Kicks
Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid
Placebo - 20th Century Boy
Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild
Franz Ferdinand - This Fffire
Clash - London's Burning
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
P!nk - U + Ur Hand
Queen - Headlong

And yes, if it weren't already mentioned, I'd have 'Bring Life to Me' in place of the Nerina Pallot track.

sorry; bumping this up cos I didnt get them all and cant be arsed going back five pages every time...

Shame this board doesn't handle attachments. I'd dump in MP3 downloads for all of those I listed if I could.

I used to do the same thing as you do BDM..........I made workout cassette tapes (I didn't have a CD burner) to get motivated. I used a couple of slower songs for warm up, cool down.

Kelly Rowland - Stole

^get the HOt Mix version.........one of my all-time favorites to get your heartbeat up.

Cool Down or Warm Up

Patrice Rushen - Forget Me Nots

oldy but goody!

Look at ChakaKhan too. Here is a tip for all of you...............if you want RESULTS in a short period of time...........Billy Blanks TaeBo. He is a great motivater, his beginner work-outs are not hard to master, you WILL see dramatic results in your abs/gluts. I was a member of his club for a few years and even though I did his 30 minute work-outs religiously for two years, I never could master the advanced tapes. There was something about the extra 15 minutes I was never able to push through. If I could have mastered them...............I would have a killer body. Even at my age!!

I miss my work-out room!! you need a lot of space for his workouts because you move around a lot, do a lot of kicks so you have to have the space. Not only that..........I had mirrors on one wall to help with form which helps. Pilates is another good work-out as is the balance (exercise) ball for abs.
