PetSitters

Sounds sexy eh? So I have been house sitting for a good buck or two. Some recomend that I advertise on Craigs List. Not being too fond of the idea I thought I would do some research anyway. I found this website. "SitterCity".Com. They have a section for pet sitters. Is it wrong that after looking at the profiles of some of these "sitters" that I began to feel dirty? Some of them just seemed a little, ah nevermind I am sure it is all innocent. Its just me.

Anyway my question to you is: If you were looking for a pet sitter/House sitter would you not hire someone by word of mouth rather than off a website?

I mean I guess all I can do is give it a shot and see what happens. I don't think I would be that comfortable going to a complete strangers house either.

I'd probably first ask friends/family. Then I'd go to the local pet shop (ie not Petco/Superpets) and check out their bulletin board. Then I would ask the attendant clerk at the pet store. If all that failed I'd probably just take all my annoying animals with me wherever I was going.

I'd ask friends first, then if that failed see if they knew anybody, failing that I'd look elsewhere.

If one had a vet, I'd see who they knew as well.

The bulletin board thing seems like a good idea. I dunno how much I would trust websites.
