Today's pie is of course Apple Pie!

What are the best apples for apple pie?
Do you use homemade crust or store bought?
Ala mode or bare?

I use store bought. Not the biggest fan, but when I have it I have to have a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream. Don't like it much just by itself.
