It's actually quite good, yes, so I'll probably play it for a while, but it doesn't have the tactical depth of PVZ.

They keep cutting through my line.
 
The sword fish do that. And if you get to close to the crab on the bottom he'll jump up and do that. The sword fish are the worst, but thankfully not too many levels have them.

I got one of the Gold Miners back (I don't know why the arcade has the same games twice.)
