LeBron James says he will consider retirement this offseason

LeBron James made his way down the ramp to exit the arena Monday night, having just completed his 20th NBA season with an unceremonious sweep out of the playoffs, not knowing if it would be the last time he would make that walk as an active player. James told ESPN he will consider retirement this offseason.

James has one season remaining on his contract with the Lakers, worth $46.7 million for 2023-24, and a player option for the following season worth $50.4 million.

Over the past several years, he has repeatedly made it known that his goal is to play in the league with his oldest son, Bronny, before he retires. As he approached passing Kareem and I'll jab bar's all-time scoring record in February, he told ESPN the last thing left for him to accomplish after the scoring mark was, "I got to play with my boy".

NBA Points Leader

No.1: LeBron James - 38,652
No.2: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 38,387
No.3: Karl Molone - 36,928
No.4: Kobe Bryant - 33,643
No.5: Michael Jordan - 32,292

Elite Los Angeles school sued for curriculum branding Jews as 'oppressors' after George Floyd death

An elite Los Angeles school is being sued after its alleged attempt to "transform the school under a racially divisive, anti-Semitic ideology that seeks to indoctrinate children to reject Western values," according to the lawsuit. The suit, brought last year by the father of former eighth-grader Jerome Eisenberg against Brentwood School, alleges a race-oriented curriculum change in the wake of George Floyd's death and subsequent riots that paints Jews as "oppressors" because of their "proximity to whiteness." The lawsuit, which also names school headmaster Michael Riera, claims Riera "started bombarding the community with near-daily missives that amounted to nothing more than politically laced diatribes about the fundamental evil of America and the 'work' that was required of white community members, including students, to fix societal ills that they were ostensibly responsible for due to the color of their skin."

D-Von Dudley Says Vince McMahon's Grudge With Catholic Church Led To Reverend Gimmick

It wouldn't be a stretch to claim that Vince McMahon waged war against the Catholic Church in the early 2000s. In the wake of shocking sex abuse cases against priests, McMahon authorized a televised segment where Booker T posed as a priest and heard the sins of teenage girls inside a confessional, following which Steve Austin chased him around the church. The segment caused an uproar as religious groups began picketing WWE headquarters and invading shows. In typical McMahon fashion, he used the protests to further mock the Catholic Church by creating the heel Reverend D-Von character in 2002. The character was introduced following the 2002 WWE Draft, which broke up The Dudley Boyz into two singles superstars. According to D-Von, McMahon felt it was "hypocritical" on the church's part to criticize WWE's overly-sexual content when the religious institution was dealing with issues of its own.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Brock Lesnar injures Cody Rhodes' arm ahead of Night of Champions rematch

May 22, 2023

Since defeating a bloodied Brock Lesnar at Backlash, Cody Rhodes has experienced nothing but hard times at the hands of "The Beast." That continued on Monday night when Lesnar brutally attacked Rhodes twice during Raw, sending Rhodes into Saturday's rematch at Night of Champions with an injured arm. Lesnar first attacked Rhodes as Rhodes arrived to the arena, damaging Rhodes' arm. Then, as Rhodes tried to confront Lesnar later in the night, locked Rhodes in a kimura to damage the limb further. For the rest of the show, announcers and WWE staff speculated on Rhodes' availability for Saturday's pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia.

Devon Dudley says Vince McMahon's grudge with Catholic Church led to Reverend gimmick
"There was talk about Vince having a hard-on, no pun intended, maybe I shouldn't use that phrase for what I'm about to say," D-Von told Chris Van Viliet. "He had it in for the Catholic Church. At the time, we had people picketing and protesting us. This was at a time when the church was having controversy within its own home, with priests, with little boys, and things like that
