Poor Jack has been IP banned

Excuse me. Isn't that kinda stupid to try and access an account now that is known to be suspended until a known point in the future? Was the person trying to access the account purposefully attempting to get Jack's account permanently banned? What purpose would that serve? Am I getting this right? A troll with the username and password couldn't wait 5 days to access what would be a valid account to use for their nefarious purposes?

WTF am I missing here?
 
Actually you ought to be adressing the person posting thru jack's account. Though jack really should not have given that person the info he did. Now because of that more than just that person is affected.

First of all, I don't know who would be attempting to post through Jack's account other than Jack. Who do you suggest I address specifically?

Second, how do you know Jack gave the information to the person attempting to use his account?

Why does there have to be an IP ban affecting other users when the account in question is specifically "Jack"?

Hell my wife and I were the first to earn an IP block...and we can't read the board at all. Cookies deleted, whatever. Same ol' message about not being allowed to read the board. We have to use proxies or go to a computer on another ISP.

Christ, they can never get their shit straight, can they?

Bullshit. A tech admin should know that would happen. Additionally, it's been brought up before...twice in fact. Once when the Coyote clan were banned, and before that when various members were suspended and IP blocked.

You guys are just asking for something to happen, aren't you?

While it's impossible for me to promise that such results will always be possible, it's a good sign. Even without such guarantees, IP blocking is used at every level of the Internet. It is a basic technique for securing backbones, ISPs, servers, sites, etc. The structure of the internet means that even corp/gov/mil sites don't have many basic options.

Actually, his post does not. Basically, his post tells me his justification for his action and requests I do not extrapolate as he will not corroborate which may only serve to obfuscate and exacerbate the situation. Which in no way, shape or form justifies you, Shal, posting here to tell me I should address some unspecified poster regarding claims made by other persons with agendas of their own and without facts in evidence. If you didn't want to discuss the issue, then you should've just stayed out of it period.

From what little information has been forthcoming,
it appears
someone used Jack's username and password to access Jack's EI account - prior to Jack's one week suspension - and now that unauthorized access is the grounds for IP banning Jack's account. The use of the account had to happen before the suspension because the account was locked from posting and part of the justification is the unauthorized user made "disruptive" posts - can't make disruptive posts on an inactive account.
The inferences are
that Darth used his computer to access Jack's account and that Jack gave Darth his access information.
Furthermore, accusations are thrown about by another member that
BigD and Darth are one in the same.

If that is the case, then it is between Jack and Darth. If that is not the case, then a story was fabricated to justify banning another poster with joint membership at TK and EI.

If the purpose is to ban a troll for trolling, then do that and call it what it is. Why is that so freaking difficult to understand?

This has nothing to do with anything other than purple editing one my posts and NOT owning up to it. All the banning is just bullshit to cover up THAT LITTLE EVENT. Purple didn't like what I posted, so it got edited. No warning, no nothing, and that makes Purple the biggest fucking walking asshole the world has seen since Rick Veitch. The two should meet for a mutual "let's trash jack" masturbation session.

Every other "freaking" inference, especially the IP references are grounds for a nice complaint, which I'm going to file if I don't get an apology and a reinstatement. You see, THAT'S MY FUCKING NAME OVER THERE, AND I AM GOING TO SWEAR ON MY MOTHERS DEAD VAGINA THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THOSE POSTS ARE MINE. The IP obfuscation (the point that keeps being suggested by Shallow and that idiot that claims that the second IP is from "another address" just violated my privacy, and it's quite simple. I'll complain, I'll put it in writing, I'll report it to the department of Banking and Insurance here in Vermont (you should see the bullshit they can do when some idiot violates anyones privacy on the internet regarding IP and posting location)

Here's an interesting expose. someone I don't know edits my posts, and someone else bans me, suggesting not that I'm posting from two different locations, but that it's two different people
