Nice pic, but AOL? Seriously?

I know, I know...AOHell. But I have to keep it because of one of my little side hobbies.

You pick up children in the SpongeBob Squarepants chat rooms and twist their minds into little knots, later inviting them over for milk, cookies, and rape?

No, wait, sorry, that's my hobby.

How did you know???????!!!!!??

LoL..No, I'm a book reviewer, and critique leader, so my little minions need to be able to im me when they have problems, since the majority of them are all AOL. It's just easier that way.

Ahh.... Forgive my distaste for AOL, it's just when I get a service call to help a customer out for whatever reason, I usually email them that I'm on my way and shit, and if/when I notice their address ends in @aol.com I usually throw my hands up like, "Well... there will be no teaching these schmucks anything that they will remember today... I'll probably will have to write everything down for them."

It's true tho... as a vast generalization, AOLers are on the low end of the tech-savvy totem pole. Present company excluded, of course.

Hey, I have distaste for aol. But I've never been tech-savvy anyways. So feel free to throw your hands up at me.

The thing that really REALLY gets to me is when they ask me, "So, now that I've signed into AOL I'm online, right?"

"Well, not quite, you have a DSL connection - you're always online."

"So that means I could go online with AOL, I just have to sign in first?"

"No - you are online all the time - AOL just takes advantage of you being online and connects to the AOL network. If you open Internet Explorer and surf the web, you don't have to sign into AOL first or anything - you're always online..."

"Oh, okay, I think I get it. That means that when I want to browse the internet I have to click on AOL first, right?"

sigh.

"Not to leave the room, even if you come and get 'im."

I'm surprised you haven't shown up at these people's houses and put them out of their misery. Even I'm not that bad.

lolz
Well I am!
Thanks the gods for C.K. Left Tit and Santaman - they've walked/carried/spoon fed me through many a technical [to me] morass! And best, they've never lost their good nature about it either, which is appreciated.
